In accordance with our policy of alternating convention sites between districts, 2024's convention will be held in the North District. Last year, the pastors and altar guild of Peace Lutheran in Neenah hosted our members with a stimulating and inspiring day.
As usual, we will begin our day in Plover with a continental breakfast. During the time allotted for breakfast and registration, members and guests will also be able to tour Beautiful Savior, with special attention paid to altar guild areas and local practices. This is always a helpful part of the day.
After breakfast and touring, we will celebrate The Lord's Supper in communion in a special service. In this service, we join with the members of multiple churches from both North and South Wisconsin districts.
The remaining events of the day include a presentation relating to our service as guild members. This year, Pastor Joshua Conradt of St. Peter, Waterford, will be our main speaker. In addition, we will enjoy an excellent lunch, and an afternoon discussion of matters relating to questions of interest. We welcome your questions and comments during this time of sharing.
In 2023, we had two women step forward to assume the duties of two executive committee positions. Mary Scharenbrock of Ladysmith was installed as president, and Sandi Campbell from Racine accepted the task of treasurer. We appreciate their willingness to serve! As far as 2024's election is concerned, the positions open are vice president and secretary. Daryl Jaeger has served several terms as VP, and Sue Ladwig has served as Secretary; according to our constitution, we look to our convention members for candidates to replace these workers. Please discuss with your guild members those willing to serve.
More information on the responsibilities and time involved can be found on the News page of this website.
