Our presenter, Rev. Dr. Charles Cortright, provides insight into the liturgical influence of Martin Luther.
The afternoon discusssion, led by our pastoral advisor, Rev. Jim Schulz, and Rev. Cortright, covered various options followed in matters of funeral, of rites, and of decorations.
Did you know that in Christian cemeteries of old, headstones always faced East - under the theory that the rising dead would be facing the LORD as He returns?
As our day ends, Pastor Schulz installs new president, Mary Scharenbrock, and new treasurer, Sandi Campbell.
These new officers are a blessing!

Our host, Our Savior's Altar Guild, takes care of registration at the beginning of the day.
In addition to the presentation provided to us on their history, they brought a display of some of the products they offer - as well as some door prizes!
Participating in "Name that Vessel" contest appears to be fun, doesn't it?
Our third presentation provides a sheriff's perspective on members remaining safe, as well as maintaining a secure church home.
Fellowship at lunch is always enjoyable.
Our Savior's guild provided a lovely day to all who attended. Our thanks to them, and to Thrivent, who helped with a contribution.
